McCormick CPW is a municipally owned combined utility that was established under the laws of South Carolina in 1925 to provide reliable service to customers in and around McCormick, SC.  The utility is governed by a three member Commission.  Each Commissioner serves a six year staggered term so that a seat is elected every two years.

The Commission has the authority and responsibility to set rates and service charges, establish policies, approve budgets, authorize projects, manage debt, and oversee the general operation of the utility.  The Commission also makes recommendations to the Town of McCormick for issuance of any bond debt; however, MCPW operates independently otherwise.
