McCormick Commission of Public Works offers an outdoor security lighting option that can provide you with piece of mind for your residence or business at an affordable cost. The low monthly fee includes installation, maintenance, and operation of a security light on an existing MCPW utility pole. If an existing pole is not accessible, there will be an additional charge of $100 for setting a new pole.
Large 250, 400, and 1,000 Watt security lights will not be installed in a residential area due to the amount of light they produce and the concern that the security light may interfere with other utility customers.
New security lights require an Outdoor Lighting Service Agreement. The original term of this contract shall be two years. Thereafter it shall continue automatically on a monthly basis until terminated by either party on proper notice.
